Jimmy Butler is working his way back from a tough injury, and while the process hasn’t been easy, he provided a nice update on his journey after tearing his ACL.
The [Golden State Warriors](https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nba/golden-state-warriors) star opened up about his recovery, saying that, mentally, he’s in a good place. That’s the most important part for any player going through an injury.
“All in all, I’m good, man. I’m happy,” Butler [said](https://heavy.com/sports/nba/golden-state-warriors/jimmy-butler-breaks-silence-recovery-warriors-wizards/), per Justin Grasso.
That positivity, however, doesn’t take away from the challenges of being away from the court and his teammates.
“Tough. Not being around my guys is hard. Not being able to play the game that I love. Not being able to travel. It’s tough, but the rehab has been going. We’re doing what we’re supposed to be doing to try and get back on the timeline that we talked about getting back on,” Butler added.
For Golden State, his eventual return will be important, though it won’t be this season. Butler is an important piece to all of this and is needed with Stephen Curry and Draymond Green only getting early.
Prior to going out, in 38 games, Butler was averaging 20.0 points per game for the Warriors.
