Las Vegas Raiders not ready to trade Maxx Crosby right now, but only because of the time

Multiple teams have been linked to trade rumors surrounding Maxx Crosby, but a recent report suggests that any potential deal is far from imminent.

According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, the Las Vegas Raiders aren’t actively moving Crosby, but they haven’t completely shut the door, either, despite speculation.

“Everybody seems like they’re in a good spot, but since they’ve already looked at trading, they’re open to that possibility, potentially, if the right offer would come,” Fowler said, via Bleacher Report.

“We’re looking at timelines here; now is gonna be a little slow, but you get closer to the draft, perhaps trade offers will heat up, or even maybe closer to the season. But right now, he’s a Raider, and that’s expected for at least a little while.”

While Crosby isn’t currently on the move, the situation could change as the draft approaches and trade conversations across the league continue.

For teams around the league, the appeal is obvious. Adding an elite edge rusher like Crosby would change any defense in the NFL and fix some.

But the cost, likely significant draft capital, and some injury worries, could make this confusing.

The failed trade with the Baltimore Ravens made all of this even more confusing.
