Retired [NBA](/sport/nba/index.html) player Kenyon Martin has publicly humiliated a podcast producer over a video mocking the former All-Star's speech impediment.
Making one of his regular appearances on ex-NBA star Gilbert Arenas' podcast, [Gil's Arena](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCAvjYgmwadC682OoC4Cc6TQ), the 48-year-old Martin interrupted the show to discuss something that was bothering him.
'Something recently was brought to my attention that one of the people that works here that we see daily and I brought this person into my home, right?' Martin began. 'Had this person around my wife, my kids, right? Treated with nothing but respect. Right?
'And this is a loyalty situation. I want people with their kids, teaching situation. When people tell you be careful who you bring into your inner circle, be careful who you bring into your home, this is this situation that I'm speaking of right now.'
The producer, identified only as 'Suge,' was called out to the set, where Martin handed over his phone.
'I need you to do some explaining to me, brother,' Martin said. 'So, can you explain this video to me?'

The contents of the video aren't clear to Arenas' audience, but Suge appeared to recognize what Martin was referring to.
'That's the video we talked about,' the producer said.
'We didn't talk about s\*\*\*,' Martin responded.
Martin recalled the producer approaching him to apologize about something at Arenas' home, but said he dismissed the person at the time because he didn't know what he was referring to.
Since then, Martin received the video, which allegedly pokes fun at the retired power forward's stuttering problem – something he battled since his childhood in Michigan.
'That's something that I have stated time and time again on this couch, sensitive subject, sensitive subject for me, right?' Martin said. 'I drew a line in the sand a long time ago with this.'
Podcast host Gilbert Arenas later clarified that the producer made the video before he developed a personal and professional relationship with Kenyon Martin
Now 48, Kenyon Martin was the National Player of the Year at Cincinnati before being taken first overall by the New Jersey Nets in 2000 NBA Draft. He would go on to become an All-Star
The producer tried to apologize, but Martin didn't want to hear it.
'There is no apology ever that as an adult that I would accept for this,' he said, adding: 'Had I saw it back then, we would've had this conversation.
'Don't ever be in my presence ever again is what I want,' Martin continued.
Arenas has since responded to the uproar to offer one slight clarification.
While the producer did work and hang out with Martin, the video was made long before the two ever had a personal or professional relationship.
'Now Kenyon thinks 'I had you in my house around my family and kids' but it's one of those things where it's like, no it was before,' Arenas told his audience.
Martin was a national sensation at the University of Cincinnati, where he won National Player of the Year honors in 2000 but broke his leg in the Conference USA Tournament, thus derailing the Bearcats title hopes.
Despite the injury, Martin was taken first overall by the New Jersey Nets in the 2000 NBA Draft.
These days, Martin is a basketball dad. His son, Kenyon Martin Jr., played several NBA seasons and now suits up for the Ningbo Rockets of the Chinese Basketball Association.
