Chiefs’ Travis Kelce told a fun story about being starstruck by Will Ferrell

The Kelce brothers are the ones who ask the questions to a guest on their New Heights podcast, but actor Ryan Gosling turned the tables in a new episode.

After sharing his “Welcome to Hollywood” moment, Gosling posed the same question to Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and his big brother, Jason.

Travis Kelce, who has dabbled in acting in “Grostesquerie” and “Happy Gilmore 2,” said it came when he was host of “Saturday Night Live” in 2023.

“The closest thing to a Hollywood moment for me was (when) I was doing ‘SNL,’ and I was already like, I have no business being the host of SNL. And as I’m doing the table reads, which I can’t read at all, so I am already nervous as hell just to try and get through the reads, let alone having all these writers come up to me trying to get me to really nail that punch line. I’m sitting here stuttering through everything.”

Gosling, who has hosted “Saturday Night Live” multiple times, said: “Same, by the way, you’re not alone.”

“Will Ferrell just comes, kind of coasting through, and I just like, freeze in the middle of my read. I’m like, full circle moment of being at SNL. I only like watched SNL because it guys like (Chris) Farley and Will Ferrell and (Adam) Sandler and those guys. So it’s like to feel that man coming, come walking through and see me struggling, trying to read a script. ... In my head. I was just like, ‘What is life?’”

Kelce’s life has changed dramatically since he began dating superstar singer Taylor Swift. They were rumored to be at Hollywood parties after the Academy Awards, and he’s rubbed elbows with some of the most famous people on the planet.

But Kelce still seems in awe about meeting Ferrell, who is known for movies like “Anchorman,” “Old School” and “Step Brothers.”
