The Baltimore Ravens took a huge blow when Center Tyler Linderbaum signed with the Las Vegas Raiders.
Baltimore has lost many free agents including Tight End Isaiah Likely, Running Back Keaton Mitchell, Punter Jordan Stout, and Fullback Patrick Richard. The Ravens have a lot of holes to fill in the offensive specifically on the offensive line.
According to an ESPN article, the Baltimore Ravens need to address the center position more than any other position. It has been labeled as a weak spot for Baltimore.
“Tyler Linderbaum left for the Raiders and managed to pass their physical, costing the Ravens their former first-round pick at center. While Simpson might be an upgrade on Daniel Faalele, there’s no real replacement on the roster for Linderbaum on the interior.” Bill Barnwell wrote in the ESPN article.
Baltimore Signed Veteran Center on Tuesday
On Tuesday, the Baltimore Ravens signed veteran center Danny Pinter who previously played for the Indianapolis Colts.
“The Ravens and C Danny Pinter have reached agreement on a deal, per source,” ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler wrote on his official X account. “Baltimore gets much-needed help at center. Pinter spent five seasons with Indianapolis.”
Pinter was an All-MAC selection at Ball State in 2019 and a 5th round pick by the Indianapolis Colts in 2020.
“In 2024, Pinter appeared in 14 games and started at center in Weeks 13 and 15, earning a career-high 82.9 Pro Football Focus overall grade as a starter in the Colts’ Week 13 win over the New England Patriots.” Glenn Erby wrote in a Ravens Wire article.
In 2025, Pinter played just 139 snaps in a backup role, earning a 56.5 PFF grade in six appearances last season.
From Heavy’s Jason Garcia: “Pinter, a former fifth-round selection of the Colts, started his career as a guard before making the switch to center in the 2024 season. The new Raven did get much playing time in the 2025 season, playing just 138 offensive snaps, as he was the backup to Tanor Bortolini.”
Baltimore Ravens Urged to Address Offensive Line
Offensive Lineman Daniel Faalele did not have a great season. He allowed 30 pressures, four sacks, and three quarterback hits in 2025. Faalele will not likely be back with the Ravens in 2026.
“Faalele is going to be a free agent for the Ravens, and the possibility of him returning is pretty slim. Baltimore will either add a replacement guard via free agency or the draft or let Emory Jones Jr. take over in 2026.” Anthony Miller wrote in a Sports Illustrated article.
“While [John] Simpson might be an upgrade on Daniel Faalele, there’s no real replacement on the roster for Linderbaum on the interior.” Barnwell wrote in the ESPN article.
Now that Baltimore has signed a veteran at center, the attention now shifts to the guard positions. Nonetheless, the Baltimore Ravens must make it a priority to protect Lamar Jackson in 2026. After the signing of Danny Pinter, many will wonder how Baltimore will fill out the rest of their interior.
