Star RB Wants to Join Kyler Murray's Vikings

The Minnesota Vikings made one of the biggest splashes of the NFL offseason when they added Kyler Murray on a team-friendly deal.

The former No. 1 pick has a legitimate chance to be their long-term starter, and everybody’s keeping an eye on the Twin Cities, even those who have yet to enter the league.

Notably, that includes Notre Dame star RB Jadarian Price. In a recent appearance on Kay Adams’ “Up & Adams,” the projected second-round pick gushed at the prospect of teaming up with Murray and Justin Jefferson:

“Minnesota, huh? I think that’d be nice,” Price told Adams. “Kyler Murray, Texas boy, shoutout Texas… [Justin Jefferson], best receiver in the league.”

Price was 50 percent of the strongest running back tandem in college football last season. Along with Jeremiyah Love — a projected top-ten pick — he kept the chains in motion for the Fighting Irish.

While not the biggest guy at 5-foot-11 and 209 pounds, he runs with aggressiveness and has big-play potential on every carry because of his quick burst and lateral movement.

Price logged 674 yards and eleven touchdowns last season, which, given Jeremiyah Love’s heavy usage, is more than remarkable. He projects as a change-of-pace back at the next level, and with Aaron Jones not getting any younger, he might be the primary ball-carrier in Minnesota.

Then again, the Vikings may not get much of a chance to get him. They’d be on the clock with the No. 49 selection in the second round, and there’s a legitimate chance that Price won’t be available by then, given that he’s the second-best running back prospect entering the league this season.

Whatever the case, there’s clearly a shift in the tide in Minnesota. Murray has brought back hope to Kevin O’Connell’s team, and this new-look offense isn’t going to go unnoticed for much longer.
