Cade Cunningham missed Wednesday's practice due to back spasms, after exiting early in Tuesday's 130-117 win over the Washington Wizards, according to Omari Sankofa II of the Detroit Free Press.
Cunningham's availability for the rematch remains uncertain, leaving the Detroit Pistons to prepare for the possibility of playing without their All-Star guard.
The injury is not believed to be serious, but the team has not issued an official update.
The Pistons' primary offensive engine and playmaker, Cunningham averages 24.5 points, 9.9 assists, and 5.6 rebounds this season, shooting 46.1% from the field and 34.6% from three.
Cunningham has led the Pistons to the top seed of the East with a 49-19 record.
