Ex-Celtics Star Opens Up About Rollercoaster Season Since Leaving Boston

The last year has been a rollercoaster for Kristaps Porzingis, starting with his trade from the Boston Celtics to the Atlanta Hawks.

Porzingis started the season well but quickly got injured, appearing in just 17 games with the Hawks before they traded him to the Golden State Warriors at the deadline.

After playing just six games in December, January and February combined, Porzingis is finally healthy and playing well again. Accordingly, the 30-year-old was in fairly good spirits before Wednesday's game against the Celtics at TD Garden.

"Summer was good, and then obviously this season has been pretty s****y," Porzingis told CLNS Media on Wednesday. "But now I'm healthy and I'm actually feeling good. I'm getting a real good feeling about basketball again, which is the most important."

Porzingis has scored 50 points over his last two games, including 30 against the Washington Wizards on Monday. He'll try to keep that going on Wednesday as he looks to finish the season strong over the next few weeks and end the year on a high note.

"Everything else kind of goes into second place when you're not feeling perfect. It's just natural, I think, to feel that way," Porzingis added. "Now, when I'm actually getting my legs back, getting into good shape, it's a good reminder why I love this and just enjoying playing again."

Wednesday's game will be his second time facing Boston since leaving the Celtics but his first time back at TD Garden. He played against them when they visited Golden State last month, scoring 12 points in 17 minutes off the bench against his old team.
