A concerning goalscoring statistic has emerged ahead of Everton vs Chelsea, as the Toffees look to get back on track.

But it was a decent performance overall from the Toffees, who remain firmly in contention for European football.
Up next is Chelsea at Hill Dickinson Stadium, but scoring against the Blues has been no easy task in recent times.

As pointed out by BBC Sport, Everton have failed to score in 12 of their last 19 Premier League games vs Chelsea.
And Everton have actually blanked in the last four against the Blues.

It’s far from ideal and arguably this places Thierno Barry and Beto under some additional pressure to find the net this weekend.
Both strikers have again come in for criticism in recent weeks.
Barry has scored just one goal in his last seven Premier League appearances, while Beto has one in his last six.
Tyrique George is also an option to play through the middle, but has not had the show of faith from Moyes yet.
That said, he cannot play this weekend anyway, since he is on loan from Chelsea.
So it’s Barry or Beto, and Moyes could go either way. But Beto has started the last two, and with Barry failing to take his chance against Arsenal, it could mean the Guinea-Bissau international gets the nod.
While scoring against Chelsea has proven difficult lately, the positive news for Everton is that they have hit some poor form recently under Liam Rosenior.
They’ll also come into this game having just been thumped by Paris Saint-Germain, meaning confidence could be low.
