Maxx Crosby is back with the Las Vegas Raiders after it looked like he was going to get traded to the Baltimore Ravens for a brief moment. Crosby has had many iconic moments with the Raiders in his career, so it only makes sense that he’s returning to the team.

One of his iconic moments came in 2023 when the Raiders held a joint practice with the Los Angeles Rams. During that practice, Crosby and running back Cam Akers got into a fight.

According to current Rams linebacker Jared Verse, the Rams still talk about Crosby at that joint practice.

“I’m not gonna lie, they talk about you at the Rams like you a nightmare,” Verse said on “The Rush” podcast.

Crosby then gave some insight into what happened and some of the fallout.

“He was mad because people were tweeting … and he got butthurt about it, so he started tweeting, ‘oh let’s see what really happened, he just grabbed him,’ blah, blah blah. Bro, I got the video of me crackin’ his (expletive), and he’s missing every punch,” Crosby said.

Akers Gives His Side of the Story

Crosby is a 6-foot-5 defensive lineman, and Akers is a 5-foot-10 running back, so it wasn’t much of a fair fight, but that didn’t stop the former Ram from trying to duke it out with the Raiders star.

However, he gave some of his side of the story, and revealed that former Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald had to help him out of the mess.

“Play was over and max was being max so he punched the ball as I was slowing down,” Akers wrote on X. “When I gathered the ball I threw at him as I was jogging back and he pushed the back of my head. I then turned around and punched him until he like punch-grabbed me but it had force. (Aaron Donald) saved me.”

Now, Donald vs. Crosby is a much fairer fight from a physical perspective, but it doesn’t sound like those two ever came to blows. One thing’s for sure: If your team is going to do a joint practice with Crosby there, there’s a good chance it’s going to get physical.

Crosby Details Ravens Trade Situation

Crosby was close to bringing his unique brand of terror to the East Coast before the Ravens got cold feet and pulled out of the trade. It was a wild situation, and Crosby finally explained what happened from his perspective.

“Everyone’s got their own theory, conspiracy theory, no one really will ever admit on either side what the real truth is or whatever,” Crosby said on “The Rush.” “Ultimately, it doesn’t even matter. I am where I’m supposed to be. I know that. I’ll just say that. … (Expletive) happens for a reason. I know exactly who I am. I’m (expletive) crushing my rehab. I’m doing what I’m doing. I wasn’t supposed to be in Baltimore and that’s it. You know what I mean? I’m meant to be a Raider. It’s through my damn core. And that’s it. I leave it as simple as that.”
