The young star spoke about his ongoing discussions with the team regarding his health and workload, showing a growing level of trust.
"I'm not sure I can call them negotiations, but we do have a lot of discussions. I don't give my trust easily, but the Spurs have made big progress over the past three years — in basketball, tactics, analytics, health and performance," he said per Maxime Aubin. "That's why I trust them more and more, because I also understand more and more what all of that really means."
Wembanyama has been one of the most dominant two-way players in the league this season.

In 54 games, he is putting up 24.2 points, 11.1 rebounds, and 3.0 blocks per game, while shooting 50.6 percent from the field and 35.9 percent from three-point range.
