Seven-year veteran wide receiver Marquise Brown signed a new one-year, $6.5 million contract with the Philadelphia Eagles. Brown, a former first-round pick, spent his career as a journeyman between the Baltimore Ravens, Arizona Cardinals, and Kansas City Chiefs.
Marquise Brown, Eagles, Agree to Contract
Marquise Brown entered free agency coming off a better season during the 2025 campaign. Appearing in 16 games while making six starts, the Oklahoma product finished the 2025 regular season with 49 receptions for 587 yards and five touchdowns. Kansas City missed the postseason for the first time in nearly a decade, and under the Patrick Mahomes era.
Brown originally entered the league as a first-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. The rookie made excellent strides as a reliable pass-catcher, hauling in 46 receptions for 584 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. Brown was the second leading receiver behind current Ravens starter Mark Andrews in Baltimore. Despite finishing with a 14-2 regular season record led by MVP Lamar Jackson, the Ravens lost to the Tennessee Titans in the Divisional Round, 28-12.
In 2021, the veteran wide receiver continued to make an impact, recording 91 receptions for 1,008 receiving yards and six receiving touchdowns. Baltimore traded Brown to the Arizona Cardinals during the 2022 NFL Draft, per the receiver’s request, as he was reportedly unhappy with his role. After the Cardinals picked up Brown, the new leading (then) quarterback, Kyler Murray, threw 67 passes for 709 yards and three touchdowns to Brown.
Despite the injuries, the veteran had made an impact as an adequate weapon during the 2022 regular season. Unfortunately for the veteran, the Cardinals missed the postseason, going 4-13. Brown finished his last season as a member of the Cardinals organization, recording 51 catches for 574 yards and four touchdowns through 14 starts. The veteran attempted to restore his career with the Chiefs, but injuries got in the way during his first stint with the team.
Since signing his rookie contract, Marquise Brown has appeared in 90 games while making 72 starts. During his time on the field, the Oklahoma product has recorded 371 receptions, 4,322 yards and 33 total touchdowns.
