Former Indiana receiver Nick Westbrook-Ikhine signing with Indianapolis Colts

Former Indiana wide receiver Nick Westbrook-Ikhine is returning to play in the Hoosier state. The 6-foot-2, 211-pound receiver has reportedly signed a free-agent deal with the Indianapolis Colts for the 2026 season.

Westbrook-Ikhine, who played at IU from 2015-19, has spent six seasons in the NFL after going undrafted in 2020. He debuted with the Tennessee Titans as an undrafted free agent and spent five seasons there from 2020-24, then signed a one-year contract with the Miami Dolphins for the 2025 season.

Westbrook-Ikhine's career-best season came with the Titans in 2024, when he played in 17 games with nine starts and tallied 32 catches for 497 yards and nine touchdowns. Across six seasons, Westbrook-Ikhine has appeared in 93 games with 42 starts and collected 137 total catches for 1,862 yards and 19 touchdowns.

A former three-star recruit from Lake Mary, Fla., Westbrook-Ikhine committed to IU under former head coach Kevin Wilson. He stayed with the Hoosiers following Wilson's firing in 2016 and Tom Allen's promotion to head coach.

Westbrook finished his five-year IU career totaling 144 catches for 2,226 yards and 16 touchdowns. At the time of his graduation in 2019, he ranked sixth in career catches at IU, seventh in receiving yards and receiving touchdowns, and tied for seventh in 100-yard receiving games. Westbrook-Ikhine became only the seventh Hoosier to reach 125 receptions and 2,000 yards in his career.

Westbrook-Ikhine's college career overlapped with former Indiana starting quarterbacks Nate Sudfeld, Richard Lagow, Peyton Ramsey and Michael Penix Jr. He played in three Bowl games at Indiana, including the 2015 Pinstripe Bowl, 2016 Foster Farms Bowl and 2019 Gator Bowl.

Contract terms for Westbrook-Ikhine's deal with the Colts were not made immediately available. He joins re-signed Colts star Alec Pierce and receivers Josh Downs and Laquon Treadwell as part of Indianapolis' current pass-catching room.
