President Donald Trump has received a bold — and very public — challenge for a round of golf from an active NFL player.
Baltimore Ravens Pro Bowl cornerback Marlon Humphrey revealed on Tuesday night that he’s spending part of the 2026 NFL offseason in Palm Beach, Florida, and he wants to tee it up with the president.

“Just pulled up to Palm Beach,” [Humphrey posted on X](https://thespun.com/nfl/nfl-star-calls-out-president-trump-for-a-round-of-golf). “Where my president at. Let’s golf.”
The casual but direct invitation quickly gained traction online, blending sports, politics, and celebrity in classic NFL offseason fashion. Humphrey, 29, is entering his 10th season with the Ravens after being selected in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft.
He has earned four Pro Bowl nods and boasts career totals of 508 tackles, 104 pass breakups, 23 interceptions, and 17 forced fumbles.
### Marlon Humphrey’s History of Public Support for Trump
Humphrey has never been shy about his political views or support for Trump. After the July 13, 2024 assassination attempt on Trump at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania — where the former president was grazed in the ear by a bullet — Humphrey posted a strong show of solidarity:
> “Trump took a bullet for America.”
In February 2025, following Trump’s return to the White House, Humphrey again defended the president against critics on social media:
> “I’m confused how everyone appears to ‘hate’ Trump but he won the presidency. Some of y’all lying lol.”
The golf challenge fits Humphrey’s pattern of openly engaging with Trump-related topics while maintaining his status as one of the NFL’s top cornerbacks.
### What This Means for Trump and the NFL Offseason Spotlight
Trump, an avid golfer who frequently highlights his time on the course, has not yet publicly responded to Humphrey’s invitation. Palm Beach is home to Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate, making a meet-up logistically feasible if the president is in town.
The lighthearted challenge has already sparked widespread reactions online, with fans, media, and fellow players weighing in on the unusual crossover between the NFL and the presidency. Whether it leads to an actual round of golf remains to be seen, but it’s the latest example of active NFL players stepping into the political and cultural spotlight during the offseason.
