Maxx Crosby Surgeon Reveals Disturbing Knee Details That Explain Ravens’ Trade Pullout
The Ravens had agreed to send two first-round picks to Las Vegas for the five-time Pro Bowler, but rescinded the deal after Crosby failed his physical. “…a significant meniscus tear and the related stress injury to the bone and cartilage in his knee.”
Dr. Liao explained the implications in stark terms:
“These words suggest that Crosby does not just have meniscus damage, but also bone and articular cartilage damage. If the articular cartilage damage was newly discovered (or revealed) at the physical, this could absolutely explain why the Ravens felt the need to reconsider the trade and eventually cancel it.”
Articular cartilage damage is particularly concerning because it does not heal well on its own and can lead to chronic pain, swelling, arthritis, and long-term degeneration — all red flags for a team handing over two first-round picks for a high-salary player.
