Free agent tight end David Njokuvisited the Baltimore Ravens on Tuesday. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the news on March 17. The move follows his nine seasons with the Cleveland Browns.
Njoku is now looking for a new home. He recently told the media he would not return to Cleveland. The Browns already signed Jack Stoll to a 1-year deal to fill his spot.

Baltimore needs more depth at the tight end position. They lost Isaiah Likely to the New York Giants. Charlie Kolar also left to join the Los Angeles Chargers.
The Ravens still have Mark Andrews as their top option. Adding Njoku would create a strong duo for Lamar Jackson. This fits the run-heavy style the team likes to play.

Njoku is an athletic player who can catch deep passes. He struggled with injuries during the 2025 season. He played 12 games and caught 33 passes for 293 yards.
He also scored 4 touchdowns last year. His best year was 2023, when he made the Pro Bowl. That season, he had 81 catches for 882 yards.
The Ravens recently signed Durham Smythe to help with blocking. Njoku would bring more speed and vertical talent to the group. This visit shows Baltimore wants to stay aggressive in free agency.
League sources say the Ravens want to maximize the peak years of their quarterback. Jackson needs reliable targets who can win in one-on-one matchups.
Njoku is 29 years old and still has a high physical upside. He remains one of the top names left on the open market this March. No contract has been signed yet.
Ravens eyeball David Njoku to power up tight end room
The Baltimore front office is busy rebuilding the depth chart. Losing two young tight ends in one week forced them to act fast. They need players who understand the AFC North style of football.
David Njoku knows the division well from his long stint in Cleveland. He has played against Baltimore 2 times every year since 2017. This experience is valuable for a playoff contender.
The team has roughly $12M in salary cap space left. They must decide if Njoku fits their budget. Other teams are also interested in his services this week.
If the deal happens, Baltimore will have a very veteran room. Andrews and Njoku would be the most experienced pair in the league. Fans are waiting to see if a deal closes before Wednesday night.
