The Seattle Seahawks re-signed 27-year-old wide receiver Cody White on Wednesday.

White had three catches for 90 yards and a touchdown in 10 games this past season, highlighted by a 60-yard catch-and-run score in Seattle’s Week 9 rout of the Washington Commanders. White also had four kick returners for 106 yards.
White logged 165 offensive snaps last season, which were the fifth-most among the Seahawks’ wide receivers – behind NFL receiving leader Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Cooper Kupp, Rashid Shaheed and Tory Horton. White also logged 117 snaps on special teams. He missed Seattle’s Super Bowl run after suffering a groin injury in Week 17.
Seahawks Offseason Tracker: Free agents, draft picks and more
The Seahawks non-tendered White when the new NFL league year started last week, making him an unrestricted free agent rather than a restricted free agent.
An undrafted pro out of Michigan State, White bounced around with several teams before signing with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2020. He appeared in 16 games over three seasons with the Steelers, tallying six catches for 35 yards.
White then signed with Seattle’s practice squad midway through the 2023 season and played four games with the Seahawks in 2024. His biggest game in 2024 came in a midseason loss to the Los Angeles Rams, when he blocked a punt and hauled in two catches for 44 yards.
“Any opportunity that I’m able to get, especially coming off injury, is truly a blessing,” White told Seahawks.com after re-signing. “I am so excited to be back in Seattle, and then being back close to 100 percent, getting back ready for OTAs. It’s going to be exciting.”
“I bounced around from a bunch of different teams, not knowing if I’d be able to stick or not and finally finding a home in Seattle,” he added. “It’s been amazing for me.”
