Celtics' Jaylen Brown Continues To Make Strong Case For First Team All-NBA Selection

Boston Celtics superstar Jaylen Brown continued his MVP-esque season on Wednesday night in a win over the Golden State Warriors at TD Garden.

Jaylen casually dropped 19 points in the first quarter on 8-of-9 from the field. Keep in mind that Brown was coming off a 41-point explosion on Monday night.

Brown's now averaging numbers that belong on an All-NBA First Team: 28.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 5.1 assists per game in 62 contests out of a possible 69, showing once again his elite durability.

The Celtics are now 46-23 on the season, which is the fourth-best record in the entire NBA behind only the Oklahoma City Thunder, San Antonio Spurs, and Detroit Pistons.

Jaylen's greatness as a first option all season long is what earned him an All-Star starter berth for the first time in his career and launched him into MVP discussions.

Since Jayson Tatum's returned, Jaylen has shown the dual capacity to defer to Tatum and/or continue operating as a first option whenever necessary.

Brown proved that you can build a contender around him as a first option. Now, he's showing once again that he's able to co-exist with another superstar beside him, the kind of sacrifice that led Boston to an eighteenth championship banner in 2024, and very well might put the Celtics in position to hang No. 19 this summer.
