Celtics' Joe Mazzulla Calls Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum "All-Time" Greats

Boston Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla isn't afraid to use the "all-time" descriptor when talking about his pair of superstar wings, Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum.

Following Wednesday night's win over the Golden State Warriors in front of another lively TD Garden crowd, Mazzulla praised The Jays in epic fashion while responding to a question from FanSided's Sam LaFrance.

“I don’t take for granted being able to coach some of the best players in the game today, but some of the best players of all time," Mazzulla said of Brown and Tatum.

Mazzulla's remarks came on a night when Jaylen moved into No. 10 on the Celtics' all-time scoring list, right behind his buddy Tatum at No. 9.

Brown finished the night with 32 points; Tatum, with 24 points and 10 rebounds in his sixth game of the season.

What bears repeating in all of the Tatum/Brown talk is that neither player has turned 30 years old yet. JB won't be 30 until October. Tatum's barely 28; his birthday is March 3.

Each player is locked in contractually with the Celts for three more seasons past the present one. This contention window for Boston may very well last throughout the 2020s, and possibly beyond.
