Facing the Rockets for the second night of their back-to-back matchups in Houston, Luka Doncic sizzled to lead the Lakers for another victory, 124-116.

Doncic was masterful and off the charts for the Lakers, finishing with a near triple-double performance of 40 points in 12-of-25 shooting (7-of-17 from three), 10 assists and nine rebounds in 38 minutes. He silenced the entire Toyota Center crowd with a clutch trey with 58.4 seconds left in regulation to bury the Rockets with a 120-111 lead.

For the stat-stuffing performance he demonstrated, Doncic has officially surpassed the late great Kobe Bryant for the most regular-season games with 40+ points, 10+ assists, and 5+ three-pointers in the Lakers' franchise history.

The Slovenian superstar is leading the NBA in scoring with 32.9 points with 8.5 assists, 7.9 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game.
