Pro Football Focus's Gordon McGuinness projected the Miami Dolphins to select Arizona State wide receiver Jordyn Tyson at No. 11 overall.

The Miami Dolphins have not one but two former 1,000-yard receivers to replace this offseason. The team first released Tyreek Hill before NFL free agency. Then on Tuesday, the Dolphins traded Jaylen Waddle to the Denver Broncos.

To start replenishing their receiving corps with talent, Pro Football Focus’s Gordon McGuinness argued the Dolphins should draft Arizona State wide receiver Jordyn Tyson.

“Following Tyreek Hill‘s release, the Dolphins have a big need at wide receiver,” wrote McGuinness. “Tyson garnered an 80.0-plus PFF overall grade in each of the past two seasons.

“He recorded an 89.0 PFF receiving grade against man coverage (10th best) and dropped just 1.6% of the catchable passes thrown his way (97th percentile) in 2025.”

McGuinness actually released his mock draft prior to Miami trading Waddle to the Broncos. But with the deal, McGuinness is likely only to stress further how badly the Dolphins need a new, young wideout.

The past two seasons at Arizona State, Tyson posted 136 catches, 1,812 receiving yards and 18 touchdowns.

Most analysts, along with NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein, see Tyson as one of the top receivers set to be available in the 2026 class.

“Learning from Super Bowl XL MVP Hines Ward helped unlock Tyson’s production and elevated his draft stock,” Zierlein wrote. “He’s added size and improved his route running over the last two years, showing he can align at all three receiver spots.

“The wiring, versatility and finishing talent point to a WR1 ceiling.”
