Despite not hitting his early-season heights in recent weeks, Moises Caicedo remains a crucial player for Chelsea, and would be a big miss if he wasn’t available.
The Ecuador international has received big praise this season from teammates and opponents, and remained fit while those around him have suffered with injuries.
Romeo Lavia, Dario Essugo and now Reece James have all missed games this season, and the same fate for Caicedo would be extremely detrimental to Chelsea’s Champions League hopes.
Do you think Chelsea should sack Liam Rosenior? Or are you willing to give him more time?🤔

Moises Caicedo will miss April Premier League games if he is booked vs Everton
It is more likely that his discipline will rule him out of action. Caicedo currently sits on nine yellow cards, and another booking in his next two games will see him handed a two-game suspension.
If this was to occur against Everton on Saturday, the South American would be ruled out for crucial games against Manchester City and Manchester United.

A win over Port Vale in the FA Cup quarter-final would see their game against Brighton rearranged, meaning he would miss every single league game in April.
Chelsea really cannot afford to lose one of their key players at this stage of the season, with their hopes of saving their season hanging on by a thread.
The pressure is on Liam Rosenior following their Champions League exit to PSG, with a top-five finish a necessity as far as finances go.

Joe Cole is absolutely right.
Potential Chelsea setup without Caicedo
If Caicedo is absent for the Premier League games in April, the pressure will be on Lavia’s body to withstand the pressure of starting games again.
Moving Enzo Fernandez back a position is also an option, however would take too much away from his attacking capabilities.
Essugo also has an outside chance of making his first start for Chelsea if Rosenior believes starting a more robust midfielder is required.
The solution to this is Caicedo avoiding a suspension in the first place, likely requiring him to abandon the win it back at all costs mantra he lives by.
