BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) -Century High School graduate Carson Wentz has re-signed with the Minnesota Vikings, the team announced on Thursday.
Wentz initially joined the Vikings last season as a backup before playing in five games. Wentz got hurt in late October, causing him to have season-ending shoulder surgery.
Wentz is now part of a quarterback room that features three top-10 picks: Wentz, J.J. McCarthy and Kyler Murray.
Wentz led the Vikings to a 2-3 record in his five starts last season. He threw for more than 1,200 yards, six touchdowns and five interceptions.
It will be Wentz’s 11th season in the NFL.
