Minn. (Valley News Live) - Former NDSU QB Carson Wentz is returning to the Minnesota Vikings on a one-year deal, the NFL announced Thursday.
Wentz will rejoin J.J. McCarthy in a quarterback room that recently added former Arizona Cardinals starting quarterback Kyler Murray.
Wentz was 2-3 in five starts for the Vikings, throwing for 1,216 yards with six touchdowns and five interceptions.
He suffered a dislocated left shoulder which ultimately ended his season.
More info on the new deal with Wentz is expected today.
