### **Jeremiyah Love Falls to Ravens in The Athletic's Beat Writer Mock Draft**
Most mock drafts have the Ravens taking an offensive lineman, wide receiver, or edge rusher in the first round. And now for something completely different.
In [The Athletic’s second beat writer mock draft](https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7125848/2026/03/19/nfl-mock-draft-2026-beat-writer/), Jeff Zrebiec has Baltimore selecting Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love.
ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. and NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah both have Love going fourth overall to the Tennessee Titans in [their latest mock drafts](https://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/ravens-spencer-fano-mel-kiper-mock-draft-roundup-post-free-agency), but Love was still on the board when the Ravens were on the clock at No. 14 in The Athletic's simulation.
"Remember the last time the Ravens were picking at 14 and one of the best players in the draft fell into their laps because of positional value?" Zrebiec wrote. "That was Kyle Hamilton in 2022, and I'd say taking the best player available in that draft worked out pretty well for the Ravens.
"Love, another ex-Notre Dame standout, is too good to resist. Derrick Henry is 32, and the Ravens don't have his successor on the roster. Love is a home run hitter who will bring juice to an offense that will have a new look with Declan Doyle directing the show."
