How Jayson Tatum Reacted To Jaylen Brown's Celtics Milestone

Jaylen Brown joined Jayson Tatum alongside Boston Celtics legends on Wednesday night.

The Celtics cruised to a 120-99 win over the Golden State Warriors behind 32 points from Brown, who passed Jo Jo White and Dave Cowens on the franchise's all-time scoring leaderboard. He's now 10th with 13,202 points behind Tatum, who's ninth with 13,908 after adding 24 in his sixth game back from an Achilles tear.

Tatum celebrated Brown's achievement after the victory, per WEEI's Justin Turpin.

"Obviously, congrats to him," Tatum said. "It just goes to show the dedication and the commitment that he's made to his craft and getting better every single year."

Brown joined the Celtics in 2016, and Boston drafted Tatum the following year. The dynamic duo has developed into stars together, with Brown elevating his game to keep the Celtics in contention during Tatum's absence.

Tatum has enjoyed watching Brown blossom into a perennial All-Star garnering MVP consideration with a career-high 28.5 points per game this season.

"It's just been cool to see," Tatum said. "I've seen him the last nine years develop and just get better each and every year and turn into the player he is now. It's just cool when you get rewarded for the work that you put in."

They can both continue their climb up Boston's scoring leaderboard next season. Tatum and Brown trail the eighth-place Bill Russell by 614 and 1,320 points, respectively.
