Dallas Cowboys: Latest CBS Sports Mock Draft Has Them Finding Logan Wilson Replacement

The Dallas Cowboys defense was not very good during the 2025 NFL season. During the middle of the season, Dallas acquired linebacker Logan Wilson in a trade with the Cincinnati Bengals. Well, Wilson announced his retirement from the NFL.

This is another position that the Cowboys are going to need to address during the offseason. Luckily for them, Dallas will have two first-round picks in the 2026 NFL Draft. The Cowboys will have the 12th overall selection and they will also have the 20th overall selection.

The 20th overall pick is from the Green Bay Packers in the Micah Parsons trade. Will the Cowboys be able to find there Wilson replacement in the 2026 NFL Draft?

Dallas Cowboys Find Logan Wilson Replacement and Select Sonny Styles in 2026 NFL Mock Draft

Tom Fornelli of CBS Sports created his latest 2026 NFL Mock Draft. With the 12th overall selection, he has the Dallas Cowboys selecting Ohio State Buckeyes linebacker Sonny Styles.Fornelli said, "One of the combine's biggest stars puts on the most recognizable star in sports, as the Cowboys add a very intriguing talent to their defense."

Styles had a very good NFL scouting combine. In many other NFL mock drafts, he has gone as high as number four to the Tennessee Titans. There is a good chance that the Cowboys rival, the New York Giants could consider drafting him fifth overall.

During the 2025 season with Ohio State, he recorded 83 tackles, one sack, one forced fumble, one interception, and three pass deflections. Styles is 6'4" and weighs 243 lbs. The Cowboys no doubt need to find a way to draft him. Dallas may need to trade him in order to draft him.

If Styles is still on the board 12th overall, there is no question that they are going to take him. He helped the Buckeyes defense be elite a season ago. If the Ohio State linebacker does get drafted by Dallas, he can no doubt be a leader on this defense from day one.
