**Man City legend Sergio Aguero still believes that his former club can finish top of the table this season.**
The Argentinian famously scored a 93rd-minute winner to seal the club’s first Premier League title back in 2012, and he says there is no reason why Pep Guardiola’s men can’t repeat the feat if they still have a chance of winning it on the final day:
“Why not? It’s difficult, of course. But it was also difficult in 2012, and we all know how that ended. These are different moments, but what I mean is that in the Premier League, nothing is decided until the very end.”

Man City have a lot of ground to make up

Guardiola’s team are currently nine points adrift of Arsenal in 1st place. They may have a game in hand, but there are very few matches remaining.
Not only would the Cityzens need to win all of their remaining fixtures (which include the Gunners), they would also need their rivals to lose at least one game, and then ensure they have a better goal difference. The odds are stacked against them.
What are the chances of City winning the league?

The statisticians at Opta have given City a probability of just 2.29% to finish top. The bookmakers have slightly more faith in the Manchester club, offering odds of between 6/1 and 8/1 to overhaul the Gunners.
All they can do is take things one game at a time, and beating their title rivals in the Carabao Cup final this weekend would certainly give them an important morale boost.
