Maxx Crosby has little love for the Baltimore Ravens after calling off their deal with the Las Vegas Raiders to acquire the superstar pass-rusher.

The Ravens agreed to send two first round draft picks to the Raiders for Crosby, with the player flying to the facilities and undergoing a physical. The 28-year-old sustained a knee injury towards the back end of the 2025 season, while needing surgery. Baltimore would have been well aware that he would not be able to pass a number of physical examinations, but the trade was called off over a 'failed medical'.

Just hours after the Crosby trade was called off, the Ravens suspiciously signed Trey Hendrickson as a free-agent. Hendrickson plays the same position as Crosby and his signing means the Ravens keep hold of their first round draft picks.

Pittsburgh Steelers star Cameron Heyward has spoken to Crosby since the deal fell through, stating: "He [Crosby] was like, ā€˜f—- those dudes. I’m staying with the Raiders'ā€.

Crosby had met with Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta and new head coach Jesse Minter, and reportedly felt an off-vibe a few hours before his agent told him the deal was off.

It was a historic deal for Baltimore and marked the first time that they have given up a first-round pick for a veteran player.

Many believe the Ravens saw an opportunity to acquire Hendrickson while keeping their picks, and made the call to back out of the deal.

For now, Crosby is with the Raiders and has made it clear that he would like to stay with the team. However, Las Vegas is likely to receive interest from team's around the league.

The Raiders know that they have work to do to rebuild their roster, winning just three games last year.

Crosby's agent, CJ LaBoy, tweeted that the player has made progress since his injury and will not be hampered moving forward. He wrote: "Maxx continues to be on track in his recovery and if anything is ahead of schedule according to his surgeon Dr. Neal El Attrache.

"Maxx remains on track to return during the offseason program & will undoubtedly return as the dominant game wrecker he has been these past 7 seasons."

If Crosby is to be traded, it will almost certainly be before the first-round of the NFL Draft, which will be held on April 23.
