NFL Legend Tom Brady Taunts WWE Stars With Football Claim

In the single-most obvious setup for an upcoming appearance at WrestleMania 42, Tom Brady took an open shot at WWE and pro wrestling in general.

In an interview at an event for his Fanatics Flag Football Classic, Brady taunted wrestling for being "cute and scripted" while asserting that no wrestler would ever be able to sack him in a game. He said that he'd punch any wrestler that came near him in the throat and leave them crying. Brady finished his taunt by calling wrestling "fake BS."

"You know, all their stuff is so cute and scripted," Brady said. "They know what's going on. In a football game, they wouldn't know. So, they wouldn't get near me. Plus, if I had a good offensive line, they'd punch those guys right in the throat and they'd be probably crying. There's no fake BS we do in American football. For those guys, it would be a whole different story for them."

Such an obvious work

If Brady isn't deliberately setting up for a future appearance in WWE, then he's absolutely trying to aggressively joke about wrestling. Brady never talks about anyone or any thing in that way, so there's no way he's being honest here.

It's definitely a work though. WrestleMania 42, which takes place in a few weeks, is being held at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, where Brady already owns part of the Las Vegas Raiders and the Las Vegas Aces.

Given how WrestleMania always brings in the stars, it's clear that Brady is going to be playing some kind of antagonist to the storylines as wrestling's biggest event of the year approaches.

The real question is whether Brady will take a bump or if he'll just show up to do a little bit of taunting.
