The Miami Dolphins had a terrible season in 2025. They finished the season with a 7-10 record and finished third in the AFC East division. It was the second consecutive season that the franchise missed the playoffs. Fans are disappointed with their performance and have asked for big changes.
The Dolphins have been busy in the offseason, trying to rebuild their roster. However, fans are disappointed after Jaylen Waddle was traded and one fan lashed out to a Dolphins employee.
Dolphins fan lashes out at season ticket rep
The Dolphins executed a significant roster overhaul by trading star wide receiver Waddle to the Denver Broncos in March 2026. In return they will receive Denver’s 2026 first-round pick, third-round pick, and fourth-round pick while Denver also gets Miami’s fourth round pick. This follows the release of wide receiver Tyreek Hill, defensive lineman Bradley Chubb, and the trade of safety Minkah Fitzpatrick.

They also replaced quarterback Tua Tagovailoa with Malik Willis, while also adding wide receiver Tutu Atwell, kicker Zane Gonzalez, defensive lineman Robert Beal Jr. and also David Ajabu. The franchise is moving towards a full rebuild and letting go of established superstars in return for a new, fresh start. Aside from a new start, they also had to navigate cap pressures, and wanted greater draft flexibility under their new leadership.
Following this rebuild, many Dolphins fans are unhappy with this change, especially with Waddle’s departure. A video of a phone call between a Dolphins season ticket representative and a fan is going viral. The fan is seen upset with the franchise, and revealed he has bought season tickets in the past. However, he said he will no longer buy a season ticket, and will also remove one of his Dolphins tattoos.
He then asked for his number to be removed, and the Dolphins representative was left speechless. Many fans sympathized with the fan and attacked the franchise.
Fans show no sympathy to Dolphins after viral video
Many social media users understood the fan’s frustrations and mocked the Dolphins.
One user said, “the ticket rep literally went silent when he realized they traded waddle on the same day he called. the dolphins are actually playing 4d chess by calling at the worst time possible and getting cooked by that fan.”
A second user wrote, “And that’s why I had to leave working for that team. They too worried about their cadence and have no empathy for their ticket holders. Take a day off my man. Read the room.”
A third user replied, “Y’all calling him a fake fan like Miami just didn’t do another rebuild just a few years ago to still have the longest playoff win drought in the NFL. Fans have the right to be upset then you wanna sell tickets for a team that won’t do anything for next 2 years”.
Another added, “He ain’t wrong… people been trash since I was a damn kid”.
A fifth user remarked, “bad last year, bad this year, bad for 20 years…what’s changed?”
A sixth user commented, “Sales are gonna be low asf this season they not meeting quota lol”.
The Miami Dolphins will hope that the 2026 NFL season goes better for them.
