LeBron James’ NBA career appears to be coming to an end. It remains unknown when he will call it a day, but at 41, it’s clear he won’t stay much longer in the association.
After becoming the first father to share the court with his son in league history, James has nothing left to prove. Much was said about his post-career plans. James stated before he would like to own a franchise after he was done playing.

With the league’s expansion plans potentially coming to fruition, Jams was asked about whether that remains his goal. The four-time NBA champion had a surprise response.
“No, I’m not (interested in owning a franchise). Not at all,” James said in the Lakers locker room.

Seattle and Las Vegas could get an NBA team next. As intriguing as that might sound, James won’t entertain the idea of bidding for a franchise.

After months full of rumors and speculation about the future of the Lakers’ big three, the team started heating up at the right time. James, Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves became a liability on defense for JJ Redick, but things are getting better by the day.
The Lakers enter Thursday’s game against the Miami Heat on a seven-game winning streak. They beat tough opponents, including the New York Knicks, Minnesota Timberwolves, Denver Nuggets and the Houston Rockets (twice).
They sit third in the Western Conference standings (44-25) ahead of the final stretch.
