Mitchell (eye) is unlikely to play vs. Chicago.

Donovan Mitchell is poised to be unavailable for the Cleveland Cavaliers against the Chicago Bulls.

Cleveland Cavaliers / Schedule

Ahead of their Thursday road clash in Chicago, Kenny Atkinson revealed that Mitchell is "doubtful" to play due to his eye issues.

Mitchell is currently dealing with a left eye contusion, which he accidentally sustained during a recent team practice after taking an inadvertent hit from Evan Mobley.

Should he not play, Dennis Schroder, Keon Ellis and Max Strus are set to gain more minutes to play against the Bulls.

Mitchell has appeared in 61 games so far this season, averaging 28.0 points, 5.9 assists, 4.5 rebounds and 1.6 steals, leading the Cavs (42-27) to the fourth-best record in the Eastern Conference.
