4 observations from Georgia football’s Pro Day

Former Bulldogs returned.

With its quarterbacks in class, Georgia called on one of its former signal callers to lead the positional drills. Former quarterback Jake Fromm, who left the Bulldogs after the 2019 season, returned to help out.

Fromm said he learned of the opportunity Monday afternoon.

"We had to find somebody to throw," Smart said. "He was willing to do it, thank goodness. Don't think he got much notice, but I thought he did an awesome job."

Fromm was just one of many former Georgia players to return to Pro Day. Tight end Brock Bowers was seen chatting with the Falcons representatives, while wide receiver Kearis Jackson watched pass-catching drills from the sideline.

Former offensive linemen Tate Ratledge and Amarius Mims also made appearances, mingling near the bench press.

"It's been kind of insane that I'm finally here," offensive lineman Monroe Freeling said. "I've been watching Mims, Sed (Sedrick Van Pran-Granger), Tate, Jared (Wilson), Dylan (Fairchild) — all those guys — and now that they're all here watching my Pro Day, that's pretty awesome."

The NFL Draft will take place April 23-25 in Pittsburgh.
