On Thursday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers played the Heat in Miami, Florida.
The Lakers had been coming off a late night after defeating the Houston Rockets (in Texas) on Wednesday.
That said, they were still able to beat the Heat by a score of 134-126.
Luka Doncic and LeBron James combined to put up 79 points and 22 rebounds.

After the game, Basketball Hall of Famer (and Lakers legend) Magic Johnson sent out several posts (via X).
Johnson’s first post: “Luka Doncic is the most unguardable player in the NBA!🤯 He scored a season high 60 points in tonight’s win against the Miami Heat. Luka has to be one of the top 2 or 3 players being considered in the MVP race.
LeBron James is also playing out of his mind! He recorded a 19 point, 15 rebound and 10 assist triple double and led the Lakers to a 134-126 win.”

Johnson’s second post: “The Lakers won their 8th straight game and they are playing their best basketball at the right time – just as the Playoffs are approaching.”
Johnson’s third post: “I had a great day today because both my favorite basketball teams won – Michigan State beat North Dakota State and the Lakers beat the Heat!”

They are in the middle of an eight-game winning streak.
