LeBron James and Luka Doncic put on a show on Thursday night for the Los Angeles Lakers. The two superstars were at their best against the Miami Heat, resulting in a historic performance for L.A.'s dynamic duo.
James dropped a 19-point, 15-rebound, 10-assist triple-double on 8-of-12 shooting. Doncic was even more impressive, exploding for a Lakers career-high 60 points on 18-of-30 from the field. The six-time All-Star also added seven rebounds, three assists, five steals and nine triples in 38 minutes of play.
More importantly, the Lakers defended their home court against the Heat. They secured a 134-126 victory, marking L.A.'s eighth straight win.

Thursday's outing is a perfect example of how good the Lakers can be when both James and Doncic are on their game. Together, the two superstars dominated the box score, en route to rewriting the history books.
The NBA took to social media shortly after the game to announce news about James and Doncic.
" HISTORY FOR LUKA AND LEBRON
"Luka (60 PTS) and LeBron (19p/15r/10a) are the first teammates with a 60-point game and a triple-double since Wilt Chamberlain (66 PTS) and Elgin Baylor (23p/16r/13a) in 1969," the league posted on X.
It has been nearly six decades since two teammates went off the way James and Doncic did in the same game. Fittingly, it was also a pair of Lakers teammates - and two legendary Hall of Famers - who accomplished this feat some 57 years ago.
James, Doncic and the rest of the Lakers must keep their eyes on the prize, though. Thursday's statistical anomaly was incredible, but the goal remains the same.
The Lakers improved to 45-25 after defeating Miami. They remain third in the Western Conference and are 2.0 games ahead of the Minnesota Timberwolves, who are currently No. 4.
L.A. will seek its ninth straight win on Saturday when they face the Orlando Magic in the fourth contest of its current six-game road trip.
