Barcelona want to sign winger Pedro Neto from Chelsea.
Their recruitment department have been impressed with both his pace and versatility, and believe that the Portuguese international would be a major addition to their squad.
And whilst a formal arrangement has yet to be made, they believe that the relationship with super- agent Jorge Mendes would help facilitate a deal.
Neto joined Chelsea for £55 million from Wolves in 2024, and is under contract until 2031, meaning that the West London club are under no pressure to sell him and would at least expect to get their money back if they were to sanction his departure.
Meanwhile, Neto finds himself in disciplinary hot water. He has been given an additional one match ban by the FA and fined £70,000 for his refusal to leave the pitch in an orderly manner after he was sent off against Arsenal.
And he escaped a ban from UEFA for pushing over a ball boy towards the end of the Champions League first leg tie with PSG.
