Agents instructed as Chelsea players ready to‘clock out’ before the season ends - journalist

Things look like they could be about to get much worse for Liam Rosenior and Chelsea.

They have had a terrible week after getting knocked out of the Champions League 8-2 on aggregate.

Before that, they lost 1-0 to Newcastle United at Stamford Bridge, a massive setback in their bid to finish in the top five. Missing out on a spot there could have some serious ramifications.

Do you think Chelsea should sack Liam Rosenior? Or are you willing to give him more time?🤔

Chelsea players already seeking moves away from club

Whether Chelsea finish in the Champions League places or not, it looks as though they could lose some key players this summer.

Journalist Simon Phillips has claimed on Si Phillips Talks Chelsea that there are already some players who are “fed up”, “ready to clock out” and have asked their agents to start finding moves for them.

While the players were not named, one is likely to be Enzo Fernandez, who does not seem to be content with life at the club right now.

After PSG’s 3-0 win against Chelsea on Tuesday, Fernandez did not rule out a transfer when asked about his future.

According to Phillips, Manchester City are interested in Fernandez, so the Etihad could be a potential destination for him if he does decide to leave.

Clearlake could be about to have a crisis on their hands

Fernandez is one of Chelsea’s best players. The Argentine and others wanting to leave Stamford Bridge could leave the club in chaos.

It’s time to bin the five-year plan, Todd 😡

Joe Cole is absolutely right.

Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital have protected themselves by tying down their assets to long contracts. But whether they would be willing to keep unhappy players in the squad remains to be seen.

Chelsea do not appear to be far from a crisis, though it could easily be averted with a strong end to the season.

Rosenior’s side can still qualify for the Champions League and win silverware. Do those things, and it may just get everyone onside again. That is easier said than done, though, with Chelsea sixth in the table.
