Barcelona goalkeeper Joan Garcia has been included, giving him a huge boost ahead of the World Cup this summer in the USA, Mexico and Canada.
Garcia did suffer an injury scare in midweek, going off in the Champions League win over Newcastle, but [Barcelona have since confirmed all is well,](/barcelona-team-news/115660/barcelona-handed-huge-joan-garcia-boost-after-goalkeeper-forced-off-against-newcastle) and he’s now celebrating an international call-up.
The goalkeeper is in the squad along with Barca team-mates Pau Cubarsi, Pedri, Fermin Lopez, Ferran Torres, Lamine Yamal and Dani Olmo.
Alejandro Balde misses out due to injury, while De la Fuente has also decided against calling up fit-again Gavi or Eric Garcia. Ander Barrenetxea, Cristhian Mosquera, and Víctor Muñoz also get their first Spain call-ups.

Spain take on Serbia in the first of their qualifiers on March 27th at Villarreal’s La Ceramica and then host Egypt three days later at the RCDE Stadium.
