Michael Porter Jr. will likely miss the rest of the season with a left hamstring strain.
The Brooklyn Nets announced that Michael Porter Jr. has been diagnosed with a left hamstring strain and will be re-evaluated in two to three weeks. This timeline could signal that his season is over.
Brooklyn Nets / Schedule
With the regular season concluding on April 12 and Brooklyn already out of postseason contention, there's little reason to rush his return.
In his first season with the Nets, Porter had been a standout performer, averaging 24.2 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 3.0 assists over 52 games.
He had also been managing a right ankle sprain prior to this latest injury.
Porter enters next season – the final year of his contract – earning $40.8 million and will be eligible for an extension this offseason.
