What Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali’s relationship at Chelsea is really like

Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali have finally been spotted in attendance together again at a Chelsea game, and journalist Simon Johnson has given an update on their relationship behind the scenes.

Eghbali has started to become the face of the project at Stamford Bridge, and in turn the villain in the eyes of Chelsea supporters.

Blues fans have aimed Roman Abramovich chants at the current owners to show their discontent at the current situation at the club.

Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali’s relationship is not ‘close’

In September 2024, reports began to surface that Boehly and Eghbali’s relationship was strained, with both keen on buying the other out of their part of the deal.

Johnson was asked on Reddit whether there was an update to the relationship between the pair, where he said it is currently strictly business between them.

He said: “All I can say is the owners still maintain a professional relationship rather than a particularly close one.”

Club legend not happy with Chelsea owners

Supporters are beginning to show frustration at what is going on in West London, with fans leaving blame at manager Liam Rosenior’s door.

Joe Cole has actually defended Rosenior, insisting the problems come from higher up in the club and the way they recruit new players.

Cole went on a passionate rant against the club owners just before watching his beloved Blues fall to an 8-2 aggregate defeat to PSG in the Champions League.

Chelsea fans have already protested those in charge on a handful of occasions, but expect that to pick up drastically if things don’t pick up on or off the pitch in the next six months.
