Arsenal co-chairman Josh Kroenke is reportedly expected to be in attendance for this weekend’s Carabao Cup final against Manchester City. The Gunners will take on City at Wembley Stadium as they look to end their long wait for a major trophy.

Mikel Arteta’s side go into the game having beaten Bayer Leverkusen in their Champions League last-16 tie earlier this week, while City were on the receiving end of a defeat to Real Madrid.

Arsenal remain in the hunt for all four major trophies this season and talk of a potentially historic quadruple has been discussed in the build-up to the Carabao Cup final.

Ahead of the game, BBC Sport have reported that Josh Kroenke has travelled to London from the United States and is expected to be in attendance to watch Arsenal face City at Wembley.

The report also claims that there is a chance that Stan Kroenke, founder of the Kroenke Sports and Entertainment, could also make an appearance for Arsenal’s trip to Wembley.

It has been reported that Stan Kroenke could make the trip if his schedule allows, and it has not yet been ruled out that the Arsenal owner could be in attendance for the showpiece fixture on Sunday afternoon.

The report claims Josh Kroenke, while in London, will meet Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta to discuss plans for when the next transfer window opens.

While it remains to be seen what players Arsenal will look to target in the summer, the Gunners are said to be ready to invest in further new signings, with a new midfielder, left winger and a full-back identified by the club.

The Carabao Cup final will be Arsenal’s last match before the March international break, with the Premier League taking a back seat for the next month.
