West Ham transfer target Noah Atubolu has expressed interest in moving to the Premier League.
Speaking in an interview with BILD, Freiburg’s number one said that he has harboured ambitions of playing in England since he was a child:
“I’m a big fan of the Premier League from an early age, like my father. This is the best league in the world. And of course, every player’s goal is to achieve the best.”

West Ham are one of 5 clubs pursuing the keeper
AC Milan, Inter Milan and Napoli have all expressed an interest in signing Atubolu, but his remarks do suggest he would favour a move to the Premier League if he is offered the opportunity.
The Hammers and Tottenham are said to be the two teams likeliest to make an offer for the 23-year-old, who looked to be in contention for Germany’s World Cup squad.
Atubolu was called by head coach Julian Nagelsmann for the World Cup qualifiers against Luxembourg and Northern Ireland back in October, but he has been left out for the friendlies versus Switzerland and Ghana later this month, with Oliver Baumann, Alexander Nubel, and Jonas Urbig selected instead.
Areola may need to be replaced
There is an increasing likelihood that Alphonse Areola will depart the London Stadium at the end of the season. The Frenchman was dropped by Nuno Espirito Santo in favour of Mads Hermansen for the 2-0 win over Burnley at the start of last month, and he hasn’t been able to regain his place.
Areola has only featured in two subsequent FA Cup ties, and if he does push to leave, it seems Atubolu has been identified as a potential replacement.
