Major Anthony Davis injury update: New timeline revealed

Wizards star Anthony Davis is progressing positively and will be re-evaluated at the end of the month as he remains sidelined with a left-hand ligament injury.

Washington Wizards star Anthony Davis has yet to debut for his new team, and now it looks even more unlikely he will return to the court this season.

Washington Wizards / Schedule

According to team's official press release, despite Davis progressing positively from his injury, the volar plate tissue in his left hand hasn't fully healed. He will be re-evaluated at the end of the month after returning to individual on-court basketball activities earlier this month.

He will continue with conservative treatment and advance his basketball activity as tolerated.

Before being traded to Washington in a blockbuster deal with the Dallas Mavericks, Davis had played 20 games, averaging 20.4 points, 11.1 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per contest.

The Wizards, who have struggled this season, hold a 16–53 record, placing them 14th in the Eastern Conference.
