The Los Angeles Rams need to maximize their window to get another Super Bowl with Matthew Stafford playing another season.

Having made some big moves, such as acquiring All-Pro cornerback Trent McDuffie and adding Jaylen Watson, a bit more can be done on the offensive side of the ball.

With Matthew Stafford behind the center, receiver Puka Nacua and Davante Adams as the first two reads, Kyren Williams in the backfield and with Sean McVay calling the plays, the Rams offense can scare any defense in the National Football League. But the one worry for the Rams is the offensive line,

The Rams’ offensive front did well in the 2025 season, with Stafford getting sacked just 23 times, one of the fewest among starters. Pro Football Focus ranked the Rams’ offensive line as the 4th best in the league.

While not screaming priority, all the other positions in the offense appear strong. Williams ran for over 1,100 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns in each of the last three seasons, the Rams are still known more as a passing team and could add one of the best pass-blocking guards in the league.

FanSided’s Wynston Wilcox names New Orleans Saints guard Cesar Ruiz as a possible option to strengthen the LA line.

“The Los Angeles Rams need some reinforcements on the offensive line. This is probably Matthew Stafford’s last year in the NFL, so giving him a bulletproof offensive line has to be the goal for the Rams,” Wilcox wrote.

“They can still use their first-round pick to draft some help or land another player, but if the New Orleans Saints offer up Ruiz, the Rams have to consider it. Ruiz would be costly, but if it lands them on a playoff run, it would be worth it.”

Ruiz received a 73.1 pass-block grade from PFF, ranking him 13th out of 81 qualifying. With no clear plan on who will become the replacement for Stafford, the Rams need to make most of his possible last season.

Kevin Dotson will likely be the right guard for the 2026 season, as he is entering the final year of his three-year contract with the Los Angeles Rams, having held down the spot since joining three seasons ago, starting all 45 games.

PFF graded Dotson as one of the best guards in the league, giving the offensive lineman an 86.4 grade. The lineman, who has a worse pass block grade compared to Cesar Ruiz, has a better run block grade (89.3).

Both are respected players at their position and would help the offense, but deciding who to start would be the hard option, as they both contribute in a different way to the offense.
