Breaking: Kristaps Porzingis’ Injury Status In Warriors-Pistons Game

On Friday evening, the Golden State Warriors are playing the Pistons in Detroit.

Kristaps Porzingis had five points, three rebounds and two blocks while shooting 1/5 from the field in his first 11 minutes of playing time.

During the first half, Porzingis went to the locker room with an injury.

ESPN’s Anthony Slater wrote: “Kristaps Porzingis just went to the locker room in Detroit walking slowly and followed by the Warriors medical staff. Had been grabbing at his lower back area on the bench, it appeared.”

Porzingis came into the night with averages of 17.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.5 blocks per contest while shooting 45.1% from the field and 34.2% from three-point range in 23 games for the Hawks and Warriors.

He was traded to the franchise last month.
