Los Angeles Lakers big man Maxi Kleber has missed six straight games with a back strain but seems to be getting closer to a return.
On Thursday, the team announced that Kleber was assigned to the South Bay Lakers to practice with the G League team.
He is still listed as "out" for Saturday's game in Orlando due to a lumbar back strain.
This season, Kleber has appeared in 35 games, averaging 2.2 points and 1.9 rebounds in 10.9 minutes per game.
