The race for the remaining Champions League spots behind Arsenal and Manchester City is coming to the boil.

A fourth-place finish is traditionally the benchmark to qualify for UEFA's top club competition. However, in recent years, an extra spot has been made available for the two nations that perform best across the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League.

Newcastle United took advantage of the extra space last season and despite English clubs' mixed performances in the Champions League knockout stage this term, fifth place looks set to be enough again.

Manchester United, Aston Villa, Liverpool and Chelsea are in the mix, meaning at least one will miss out and have to settle for Europa League football. predicts each club's remaining results and finishing positions…
