Liam Rosenior expects Everton to pose his Chelsea side a stiff challenge on our maiden visit to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
At the start of the weekend’s Premier League slate, the Toffees lie two places and five points behind Chelsea in the table. They harbour serious aspirations of playing in Europe for the first time since the 2017/18 campaign.
David Moyes has made his team tough to break down and hard to beat, with leaders Arsenal only securing victory over them a week ago in the closing stages of the game.
Like many sides this season, Everton have proven proficient from dead ball situations. They swarm the opposition goalkeeper from corners, and that is one of many aspects of their attack Rosenior is readying his charges for.
‘Everton and David Moyes are doing an incredible job,’ said our head coach.
‘He's an incredible manager with a lot of experience, and in a lot of the aspects of the game, they're very, very good.
‘We analyse every aspect of the opposition and we prepare as best as we can, not just for defensive set-plays but for every moment of the game. We will need to find a way to fight to make sure we get what we want from the game.’
That is three points, which would be just the tonic before the final international break of the season.
