Enzo Maresca has now received a call about taking a new job two months after being sacked by Chelsea

Enzo Maresca is yet to return to the dugout since his exit from Chelsea at the start of 2026, however reports have stated he has now been contacted to take over a European side.

Maresca was replaced by Liam Rosenior, who after a strong start is starting to feel the wrath of supporters who are widely frustrated with what they are seeing at Stamford Bridge.

Enzo Fernandez recently hinted he didn’t know why Maresca was sacked, with the Italian boasting a successful record during his limited time in charge.

Do you think Chelsea should sack Liam Rosenior? Or are you willing to give him more time?🤔

Maresca has been spotted at a number of games, however could now be handed a route back into the game via Serie A side Fiorentina.

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Fiorentina have contacted the former Chelsea boss over potentially taking over there.

They are currently languishing in 16th in the table in Italy, however still have a chance at silverware through the Conference League.

Maresca obviously has very recent experience in that competition, winning it with Chelsea last season as they completed their set of European trophies.

Maresca tipped for elite job after Chelsea exit

It has been widely expected that Maresca will only return to managerial duties should a great offer come his way, something he will be confident will happen.

Maresca is the favourite to replace Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, a club he had conversations with during his time in charge at Stamford Bridge.

Having previously worked with the academy there to great effect, they will have no doubts he can continue that into his first team duties.

Juventus are another club Maresca has been linked with, and it feels unlikely he will accept the role at Fiorentina.
